First off, I want to tell LaDavid’s wife Ms. Johnson that I am sorry for her loss. Secondly we have such an awful President. Why would you tell a grieving wife of a fallen soldier that “he knew what he signed up for but unfortunately it happened anyway”.
How cold and heartless is that. What made me even more pissed off is that the General is like “well there really aren’t any right words to say in a situation like this”. Ummm Really!
Yes there is! How about you try the following:
Mrs. Johnson the on the behalf of the United States Armed Forces we express our deepest condolences.
Mrs. Johnson on behalf of The Trump Administration and Armed Forces we want to tell you that we are truly sorry for the passing of LaDavid Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson Sgt. LaDavid Johnson was a true soldier, and we want to express our condolences to you for your loss.
Any of these would work. But instead you are being an ass on behalf of the United States.
And why couldn’t she see her husband…AT ALL! How is this grieving wife supposed to have closure if she hasn’t even seen her husband that she is supposed to bury? She doesn’t even know if he is even in the casket.
Then she couldn’t even get answers as to what happened. For all she knows he still could be in Africa. Mrs. Johnson, I am sorry that you are going through this. My heart goes out to you. Real talk!
